Wendelken Piano Studio made its debut in 1993 as New Tampa’s premiere studio dedicated to teaching students in a traditional classical conservatory manner with a modern, interactive tone. The school, offering area residents lesson choices based on training and expertise, stresses the mastering of classical repertoire, technique, theory, and ensemble and concerti pieces.

Our Mission: To provide all students with the tools to find their musical voice and to nurture and cajole amateurs into professional sounding artists. We emphasize musicality with technical aspects, precision with art, we unite mirth with discipline, and seek to enhance our existence with peace and beauty through music.

With a culmination of training methods developed from the best schools, Wendelken Piano Studio features a unique, leading-edge teaching style. Using interactive methods and mediums such as storytelling and artwork to enhance the artistic understanding of music, piano and music lessons are entertaining as well as instructive. Weekly training sessions, ranging from 30 minutes to one hour, are custom-tailored to lay a strong foundation of basic skills for beginners as well as enhance and challenge the abilities of more advanced students.

In addition, Wendelken Piano Studio offers an extensive range of optional performance opportunities including formal and informal recitals, competitions, examinations and group classes. As performers, students go beyond being able to play only a few pieces to developing their musical voice and becoming well-rounded musicians.
